With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benilda Hardaway, who entered eternal rest on March 13, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loved ones.
Benilda was born on June 15, 1959, in Tanauan, Batangas, Philippines. After marrying and starting a family, she made her home in Hayward, California, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was a woman of radiant charisma, known for her infectious laugh and the way she made everyone feel welcome.
She found joy in spending time with her family and close friends, always creating cherished memories filled with love. Everyone that knew her knew how much she loved to cook and how good of a cook she was. She also had a deep love for traveling, especially to the Philippines, where she often visited family and explored new places. Her devotion to the Catholic Church and Padre Pio guided her throughout her life, and her faith was a source of strength and comfort.
Benilda leaves behind her beloved daughter, Margaret, and her two precious grandchildren, Aiden and Luciano who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by extended family, whom she loved dearly. Though she is no longer physically with us, her warmth, humor, and vibrant presence will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her loving husband in heaven, embraced by God’s eternal light.
Her red lipstick may fade, but the mark she left on our hearts will remain forever
