Ben Oliver Cantellay a Hayward resident entered into rest Sunday, November 4, 2001 in Hayward. Born in Enid, Oklahoma on June 14, 1920, he was 81 years of age. Ben enjoyed bowling, gardening and fixing things. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Man for 5 years at U.S. Steel Mill in Union City, California.Loving father of Judy Macon of San Jose and Larry Cantellay of Hayward. He was a special grandfather to six grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Maggie Helen Cantellay. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2001 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral service Thursday, November 8, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home."Service of Marked Distinction"
