BELIA ROBLEZ's Obituary
Belia Ovalle Roblez was born on March 1st 1926 in Galveston, Texas to her parents Jesus and Jovita Ovalle, She spent her childhood in Texas and met her future husband Isaac Roblez at the young age of 16. They wed shortly after and were married for 63 years before Isaac’s death in 2007. Together they had six children. She lost her only son, Isaac Jr,, when he was only 18 years old. That loss would have long lasting effects on the family dynamics but would ultimately strengthen the relationships between her daughters and her grandchildren. The bond with her daughters and grandchildren was evident in the daily communication she keep with them throughout her life time. Belia’s life was devoted to caring for her husband Isaac,their children and grandchildren. She created a home that welcomed all and at various times her house became home for her children and their families. For almost 50 years Grandma’s house was the gathering place for the holidays and many birthday celebrations. Belia was not a woman of many words but when she shared her thoughts they were from her heart and her words spoke volumes. No one ever wanted to disappoint her as she was everyone’s vision of a perfect mother and care giver. She set the family example of a marriage partner, mother and grandmother. Along with her family, her other devotion in life was serving God. The Lord blessed her with a house full of children and a long and healthy life. She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac and their son Isaac Jr, she is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Helen, Irene, Carmen, Rebecca, Darlene, her 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, five sisters and three brothers. Her legacy of love and commitment to family lives in all those who were blessed to call her mother, grandma and nana.
