Basilisa Flores Mulingtapang's Obituary
Basilisa Flores Mulingtapang was born on April 15th, 1933, in Pikit, Cotabato, Philippines, and was called home to be with the Lord on November 4th, 2025, at the remarkable age of 92 and a half.
She was a woman of grace, strength, and deep faith - the heartbeat of our family. Known for her class, her wisdom, and her loving (yet no-nonsense) way of keeping everyone in line, she was truly our “mob boss with grace.” Her presence was undeniable. She was the matriarch every family prays to have strong, wise, and full of heart.
She dedicated her life to caring for others - not only raising her own incredible children - as well as their spouses but helping to raise each of her eight grandchildren and pouring her love into her great-granddaughter, who was her favorite little playmate and best friend.
Her kitchen was her kingdom. From her house made sugar donuts to her home-cooked, rich-in-history feasts, she nourished everyone who walked through her door - body and soul alike. She taught us the joy of gathering, the power of prayer, and the beauty of family staying close.
She was our glue, our foundation, our example of faith and love in motion. Her presence will forever echo through our laughter, our recipes, and the way we care for each other.
We love you, Mama. Thank you for everything. 🤍
