Balbir Kaur's Obituary
Balbir Kaur, was born on 7th March 1935, into the well established Bagga family of Wazirabad. Life threw many challenges, but the young Balbir, with her resilience and hard work, became the first college degree holder woman in her family of 9 siblings before getting married to her husband, late Dr. Amrik Singh in 1959.
Masked behind her lovely, contagious smile, and soft demeanor, Balbir Kaur was a woman of principles and steel resolution. She was a devout wife, a great mother, a perfect daughter and daughter in law and above all a true gursikh. She was famous for reciting Sukhmani sahib by heart and performing akhand path duties with perfect soothing voice. A stalwart for her loved ones, she went out of her way to help her extended maiden family as well as her new family after marriage and friends. A true sevadar by actions.
She is survived by her 3 children, 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter.
