B. Charles Blanchard's Obituary
B. CHARLES BLANCHARD July 8, 1947 – March 20, 2008 Chuck was a life-long resident of Hayward and graduated from San Lorenzo High School. After serving in the Navy, he will be remembered for his unwavering compassion for the caring of his young sister Paris who was battling cancer for seven years until she passed away at age 14. Soon after he worked at the family business, The Palace Poker Casino. Due to his mother’s illness, he joined with his sisters, Cathy Aganon and Pamela Roberts in the hopes of creating larger facilities for the numerous patrons. He was a very meticulous worker and set high standards for himself. ‘Doing nothing’ was not in his vocabulary. He was a font of knowledge both useful and bizarre. Conversation with him and his many friends and associates with whom he was working were everlasting. For all that knew him, he lived life to the fullest. He never lost his curiosity or enthusiasm for the new and unknown. He enjoyed music, golfing (which he claimed he did badly) traveling and cruising. Always talked about having a yacht someday. He leaves many friends and the love of his Mother Katherine, sisters Cathy and Pamela, brothers Bruce and Fred. Brother-in-laws Bob and Bill. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, Grand nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. We shall miss his loud, boisterous way of laughing hysterically at something that tickled his funny bone, often until he had tears streaming down his cheeks. Family and friends are invited to Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Tuesday April 1, visitation Rosary from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Memorial Service April 2nd at 1:30 pm, Hayward (510) 471-3363.
