AULIANNA TANDEAN's Obituary
Aulianna Tandean entered peacefully into rest after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Saturday, March 15th 2003 at home in her 70th year.She was born on August 27th 1932 in Bangun, Indonesia, the daughter of Ow Jang Ming Sin and Liauw Mei Ing. She retired to California 13 years ago, joining her children, after spending her life as a teacher in Pematang Siantar and a small restaurant owner in Jakarta.She was the loving wife of Tjahjadi Tandean, dearest mother of Fanti and Johny Sutardji, Fanti and John Lie, Wirawan and Amelia Tandean, and Tekno Tandean; dearest grandmother of Kevin and Ryan Sutardji, Amy and Lisa Lie, and Sarah Tandean; sister of Ow Jang Hui Cien, Ow Jang Hui Tuan, the late Ow Jang Hui Sien and the late Ow Jang Ping Chang.Aulianna found God in the later part of her life. She believed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of her life. She was a member of the Indonesian Evangelical Church in San Francisco.Through out her life, she enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends. As she grew up in a poor family, she always believed in working hard and putting extra efforts to support her children. She had strong, selfless and courageous personality. She was an inspiration and friend to all who knew her and will be missed greatly.Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2003 from 6:00 – 9:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave. Oakland CA. in Chimes Chapel.Rosary Prayer & Prayer of Divine Mercy from 7:30pm to 8:30 pm.Funeral Services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 10:30am in our Chimes Chapel . A reception will immediately follow in the Bible Cloister next door from Chimes Chapel.
