Arvind Gupta's Obituary
Dr. Arvind Kumar Gupta Resident of Fremont July 10, 1945 – October 3, 2011 Dr. Arvind Kumar Gupta passed away on Monday after a long battle with diabetes and heart disease. Prior to retiring in 2009, Arvind was a Civil Engineer at Caltrans for 19 years. He received a BSCE (1966) and Masters in Civil/Earthquake Engineering with Honors (1968) from IIT Roorkee; as well as a Ph.D. in Civil/ Structural Engineering (1975) from Utah State University. Arvind is survived by his loving wife, Anjna; devoted children Amitabh and Nitin: and grandson Armaan. Friends and family are invited to a memorial on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 from 5-9pm and funeral service on Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at 8am.
