Arthur F Learned a Turlock, California resident entered into rest Thursday, September 26, 2002 in Turlock. Born in Cottage Hill, Illinois on November 19, 1930, he was 71 years of age. Prior to moving to Turlock Arthur lived in Dublin for 36 years. He worked for Friden Business Machines for 25 years in Shipping and Receiving. He also worked for Qume as a Manager for about 5 years. He was a beer vender for football and baseball games at the Oakland Coliseum and Candlestick Park. He enjoyed doing all kinds of puzzles. He thoroughly enjoyed playing poker and camping with his family and friends. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Dublin. He was also a member of Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church in Turlock.Dearly beloved husband of Maxine Learned for 50 years. Loving father of Debra Learned of Walnut Creek, Barbara Park of Turlock and Brenda Langen of Taylorville, IL. Dear brother of Daisy Faulkner of Nashville, GA, Cora Stover and Lola Scott of Springfield, IL and Dorothy Fitch of Mt. Auburn, IL. Devoted grandfather of two grandchildren; Daryl Park of Fremont and Shannon Park of Turlock. His daughter Dorothy Learned, three sisters Nancy McGeath, Mary Beckham, Betty Fike and his brother Daniel Learned preceded him in death.Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Friday, October 4, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. 'Service of Marked Distinction'
