Arsenia Jordan's Obituary
February 6, 1922 May 1, 2008 Entered peacefully into rest on May 1, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Born in Arcadia, Louisiana, Arsenia loved being a housewife and taking care of her nine daughters. Her hobbies included fishing, quilting, sewing and cooking. Arsenia was an active member of the Elmhurst SDA Church in Oakland, and loved singing in the Golden Age Church Choir. Arsenia is survived by eight of her nine daughters: Peggy, Diane, Sheila, Deborah Janice, Lynette, Wilma and Cecilia. Grandchildren: Daphne, Danielle, William, Carlynn, Erika, Nina, Elaina, Samantha, Sabrina, Jordan, Steven and Stefanie. Great-grandchildren: Audrette, Santese, Makayla, Natalie, Kellie-Marie and Desmond, Jr. Loving brother: George Rhodes (Obedia). Arsenia was preceded in death by her husband Willie, daughter Maxine and granddaughter Dena. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 5:30 8:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes, *(Reflection Chapel), 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward. Services will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Elmhurst SDA Church, 9658 Thermal St., Oakland. Interment will be in Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park in Hayward.
