Armando “Manding” Avellanosa, 91, of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 21, 2017 in Hayward, California.Visitation will be held 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.Final viewing will be held 9:00 am to 10:00 am, burial will follow at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.Reception will be at 1:30 pm to take place at Tomi Buffet 1604 Decoto Rd., Union City.Armando was born and raised in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan to Edilberta and Simplicio Avellanosa on October 17, 1926.He married Araceli Mateo on March 12, 1945 in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. They were happily married for 63 years before her passing in 2008. He worked as a dispatcher and shipping supervisor for Vitarich Corporation for 30 years where he received an award of excellence for his hard work and dedication. He was a veteran of World War II and served in combat with the U.S. military as a 2nd Lieutenant.Armando was a devoted husband, a caring and loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always had a smile on his face and was well loved by his family and friends.He is survived by his sister Adoracion and his children Renato, Cecilia, Myrna, Flora, Nestor, Helen, Efren and Jojo. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jorge, Cherry, Joma, Jennifer, Anna, Henry, Jonjon, Mark, Criselle, Hazel, Heidi, DJ, Edwin, Edelyn, EJ, Justin and Jianna. In addition he is also survived by his 23 great grandchildren.
