the trip we took together to visit my mother, her sister, for the last time. We drove by way of Solon, Iowa where my son, Tom, lived to see the house he bought. It has a beautiful setting and an old fashioned swing on the porch which overlooks a resevoir. Aunt Toni quickly found her seat on that swing. While driving, we were listening to John’s CD’s and she could identify when he was playing or singing. It was a very pleasant trip for us both. Later, on that trip, we stayed with my brother, David and his wife, Sue, at their new home and had several visits with my mother. My mother passed on the day we left: I to drive home and Aunt Toni to fly back to California. My last visit with her was in January, 2006 and we both knew it would be the last. She is so very special to me.##imported-begin##Carole Z. Warren##imported-end##
