Antonia Castillo's Obituary
ANTONIA (TONI) CASTILLO February 26, 1912 – January 26, 2007 Toni, 94, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a wonderful woman with a giving heart. Survived by sons, Frank and Bob; daughter, Margaret; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Bejarano and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Manuel (Manny) Castillo. During WWII she worked as a welder at Richmond Shipyard known as “Rosie the Riveters”, also worked at Gerber’s baby food company, where she retired after 26 years. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, also doing crafts, crocheting, knitting and most of all helping people, she had a soft heart for everyone. She was a strong and loving woman who will be missed by everyone she touched. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and funeral service Thursday, February 1st, 10:00 a.m. both at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.
