Antoinette was my social worker right before I aged out of foster care. I am extremely saddened to hear that she has passed on. I only recently found out that she has passed and I am completely devastated. I only spent a short while with her but she helped me tremendously during my time with her. She was so encouraging and she provided me counsel through my grief. I am glad I was able to know her even if it was for a short time. She was the coolest social worker I had ever had. She inspired me as an African American woman, as she was the second African-American social worker I had ever had after spending 20 years in foster care. I felt like I could relate to her and I felt like she was someone I could look up to as I pursued my college degree. I hope she is resting peacefully, I will never forget her presence here.

Antoinette, you were such a wonderful and amazing human being. I was so lucky to get to know you, even for a little while. I miss your hilarious stories, like when the neighbor came over after your boyfriend offered them some BBQ, and they ate all the BBQ and left you none. But that's the kind of person you were -- kind and big-hearted. I was looking forward to a post-pandemic Induction 17.2 reunion with you. I know you'll be there in spirit, though. Great condolences to your family -- if I miss you this much, I can't even begin to know how they're feeling.

I met Toni when I moved to Newark and began as a hostess there. Toni made work fun! She could, and did, make everyone laugh. At a time when things were not going very good for me, Toni was someone who listened, and told me what I needed to hear. There are so many great memories from working with her! Pass bar shenanigans, joking around about circumstances and passing time laughing! Toni definitely had a mega-watt smile and the personality to match, and I know the work she did while here with us made a huge difference. I think the thing that made Toni so awesome was the fact that she was so down to earth. Toni, you are and forever will be dearly missed. And to her mother, father, sisters and family, I am so sorry for your loss and please know that you all are in my prayers. God bless you all.

She was my childhood friend, we would ride bikes, go skating, paint our nails, and just have fun, we had so many little adventures just in our neighborhood, I remember buying her an Iguana for her birthday because she wanted one soo bad lol. She was a great big sister, she was an amazing friend, and I’m so glad I had a friend like her in my life, and had the chance to know her. I love you always Toni!!!
