Anthony Pina, Sr.'s Obituary
ANTHONY “TONY” PINA, SR. Tony passed away March 23, 2007 at the age of 74. He was born in Santa Rosa, CA and lived most of his life in the Bay Area. He was a truck driver since age 18 and owned his own trucking business. He was an honest and hard working man. Over the years he loved camping, fishing, casinos, sprucing up his yard and family gatherings. Tony was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Antonia, his father Manuel Pina; his sister, June Del la Riva; and his brother, Theodore Pina. Tony is survived by his mother, Violet Rupp; daughter, Connie Suazo; son, Anthony Pina Jr.; grandchildren, John, Lisa, Jodi, Nick and Eric; grand daughter in-law, Rosalia; great-grandchildren, Monique, Anthony, Nick Jr., Mary, Cameren; sisters, Lola Trujillo, Beatrice Gonsalves, Karen DellAcqua, and many nieces and nephews. “Pop” was loved and appreciated by many and will be in our hearts forever. Family and friends are invited to CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA for visitation on Thursday, March 29, from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. and Funeral Services on Friday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Lung Association, www.lungusa.org.
