Anthony G. Co's Obituary
Anthony Golaw Co, 43, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016 at his home in Union City, California after battling an illness for almost two years. His funeral service will be held this Saturday, August 27, 2016, 11:30 am at St, Edward’s Catholic Church followed by internment at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery. Visitation days are Thursday and Friday, August 25th and 26th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes.Anthony was born on April 21, 1973 in Manila, Philippines to Roberto and Evangelina Co. He moved to California in 1986. He attended Newark Junior High and then Newark Memorial High School, class of 1992. He went on to graduate from San Jose State University with a BS in Biological Sciences in 1997. He built a career in Compliance/Quality Assurance & Safety at a reference laboratory for many years. He was married to Evangeline on May 18, 2002. On September 22, 2004 and November 11, 2006, respectively, he welcomed his daughter and son, both his pride and joy, and the most important part of his life. Anthony was a devoted father, loving husband, and dutiful son. He truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; watching the 49’ers, SF Giants, and the Warriors games, enjoying good food, cooking, biking, and spending time with his wife and children. Friends and family say, he was one of the kindest people one could ever meet, a man with a good heart, a spiritual soul, and a love so great for his family. We love you, Anthony. You fought this battle with all your might, suffered so much, and now you are free! You will forever be in our hearts. He is survived by his parents, Roberto and Evangelina Co; his wife, Evangeline Co; his daughter, Erin Co; his son, Aidan Co; his brother, Edmundo Co and his partner, Mystique Pearson, their children, Ian and Schuyler Co, and loving in-laws, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and long-time friends.
