Annie Pearl Moore's Obituary
The sun’s rays were dancing among the window curtains near her bedside, on the 31st day of July 2019, when Annie Pearl Moore was summoned, at age 90, from her residence in California, to her heavenly home.Annie was born to Ed Evans and Annie Hicks Evans (Mama Dot) on the 22nd day of April 1929, in Russell County, Alabama. She inherited the strength and fortitude of her father and the family oriented, loving sensitivity, of her mother.She met and married Henry, and from this union was born two children, Michael (deceased) and Bettie. After several years of Henry’s absence from the family, this marriage was dissolved. Later she met and married a military man, Robert D. Moore, who adopted and helped raise both of her children.Though as a military wife, she had traveled far from the home of her birth, to live in and visit places like North Carolina, Germany, Paris France and Oakland, CA, she and her husband would make time to visit and check in on her parents and siblings. She always kept in touch with family, sharing love and whatever help should could.Annie believed in the power and betterment of education. She attended Laney College and other training facilities and obtained a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and an Associate of Sciences (AS) Liberal Studies degree. She enjoyed caring for men, women and children in facilities and in their homes, as a private duty nurse. She was beloved by her patients, their families and her employers and received many letters of appreciation.She accepted the Lord into her heart at an early age and she loved attending church. She was a woman of strength and active faith. January 9th, 1983, she was licensed by Rev. H. Byrd, of The Miracle House of Prayer church, Oakland, CA, “to preach the gospel as she may have opportunity, and to exercise her gifts in the work of the ministry.” As an evangelist, she was passionate in ministering, fervently praying and street evangelizing to people from all walks of life. Annie’s favorites: scripture John 14:1-4, songs “Walk with Me Lord”, “While the Blood is Running Warm” and color red.Annie was a California resident for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband (who died in the Vietnam War), her father and mother, 7 brothers Ed, Dan, Willie, Melvin, Cleveland, Albert, Curtis and 4 sisters Jensie Lee, Leola Beatrice, Charity and Annie Mae and grandson Michael Moore, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter Bettie, son in-law Raymond, 6+ grandkids Ramon, Ruth, Kameron (and brothers), Etiana, Ciara, Tye-Trey, great grandchild Desiana Suber, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
