Angelo "Abe" Cruz's Obituary
Angelo “Abe” Cruz of Union City, California, passed away on December 25th, 2016. Born on November 12, 1956 in Marikina, Philippines, he was the son of the late Jose Caluag Cruz and Serpita Andres Pascual. Abe was the brother of Armando, Antonio, Alberto, Alex, Letecia, Lucila, Lolita and Libra. Abe met his late wife, Zenaida, in the Philippines. They moved to the United States to start a family and was blessed with two boys, Anthony and Aaron. Together they instilled in their boys the need to be kind, hardworking, honest and loyal to Raider Nation, Dub Nation and the Oakland A’s. During the later years of his life, his health diminished, undergoing double bypass surgery and pneumonia. Determined to get better, he decided to change some bad habits and get into shape by riding his bike and playing basketball. His heart may have given up on him, but the spirit of his heart lives on in his boys. Abe is survived by three sons; Aldin, Anthony and Aaron, one daughter; Avelyn “Heavenly”, and six grandchildren; Annalyse, Devin, Ashley, Aulrikk, John Carlo, and Alexandra. Anthony & Aaron and the rest of the Santos family, would like to thank you all for your love, support, thoughts, and prayers during this difficult time.
