Angelina Eugenio Francisco's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we regret to announce the passing of Angelina Eugenio Francisco. Lina was born on September 6, 1946, in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines. Her parents are Felicisimo and Estelita Eugenio. She was the oldest of six children. She attended the Philippine College of Commerce and Arellano University where she completed her bachelor's degree in Education and received the highest honors in academic excellence, all while holding 3 jobs and working 14 hours a day.
In 1973, she married Alfredo Francisco, immigrated to the United States, and had 2 children, Alfa-Angelica and Alfleen-Angela. She lived in Guam, Washington, and the Bay Area and eventually established her career at the Port of Oakland in 1982, where she worked as an Executive Assistant for the Port of Oakland until she retired in 2006.
Lina, as many friends called her, was thoughtful, hardworking, loving, compassionate, generous, and family oriented. She loved to cook, travel, climb trees, go to the movies, dance, read books, write poetry, plan parties, and be with family. She loved life, learning everything and anything she could, and explored practically every hobby, including flower arranging, ceramics, painting/crafting, bowling, and many more.
Angelina is survived by her daughters, Angelica Carranza (son in law, Gary) and Leen Benaducci (son in law, Gian), four grandchildren, Alana Shay, Niko Anthony, Gianna Angeli and Liani Alexis. Siblings, Milagros, Dannie, Junior, Romy, and Dell, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews and family members whom she loved as her own, earning her the title of “Mama Lina”.
Our beloved Lina departed from her earthly bonds with so much love for her family and friends. We are very grateful for the legacy she left us, her gentle nature, love, and strength.
She will forever live in our hearts, loved, dearly missed, and never forgotten.
