Angel A. Masana's Obituary
Angel Alano Masana was born and raised in Indang, Cavite, Philippines. His parents are Pio Vicedo and Gumersinda Alano Masana. Gil as many friends called him, was a family oriented, loving, very generous, honest, hardworking, religious, thoughtful, kind and had a great personality with sense of humor. His most characters that family remembered him were being a good cook, his religious belief and generosity to others. He helped many in their needs, mostly in the Philippines, never expected any returns which was evident in the respect and love for him.
He completed Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Don Severino Agricultural College (now known as CvSU) Indang, Philippines.
On Nov 3, 1964, he married his wife (late) Librada Viado and had four children, Cristina, Rogelito, William and Joel.
He worked at Philippine Coconut Authority (PhilCoa), Dept. of Education in Manila and Office of the Governor in Cavite. He worked overseas at Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saipan.
On November 1987, he and his family migrated to USA. He worked at Marriott Catering at Oakland Airport and First Interstate Bank (became Wells Fargo Bank) processing center as a mail clerk until he retired in 2001. After his wife died in 2013, he re-married Carlita Franco in the Philippines.
He loved music, played piano, can sing and dance. He was an avid fan of basketball, baseball, and football games. He loved to go to casino and played lotto and scratchers.
He is survived by wife Carlita, daughter Cristy, sons Lito, Willy and Joel and their families, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Siblings Gloria, Amy, Michael, Eunice, Manuel and their families.
