Andre Hernandez's Obituary
Our beloved Andre M Hernandez passed away peacefully at Kaiser, San Leandro on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Surrounded by loving family and friends. After battling liver cancer for 11 years.He was born on May 19,1930 in Winnemucca Nevada. He was the son of Lucio and Feliciana Hernandez of Mexico. He was one of the youngest of 15 children.He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years of Lettie Hernandez, and devoted daughters Janine Hernandez and her spouse Marian of Winters, Ca. and Michelle Silva and her spouse Gustavo Silva of Union City, Ca. Also survived by his sister Vicenta Hernandez of Los Gatos, Ca. brother Lucio Hernandez of Nevada and brother-in law Al Berri of Washington. He will be missed by his four grandchildren Gustavo Jr., Jerardo, Adriana Silva and Kristopher Murphy, as well as a great granddaughter Leticia Silva-Johnson, including many nieces and nephews, and great many friends.He was a gentle loving person who enjoyed Rock N’ Roll music, classic cars, car shows, his 50’s room, Elvis and gardening. He had so much energy he is best known as the energizer bunny. He will be greatly missed.In lieu of flowers, family and friends are welcome to join in the celebration of Andre’s life.Andre’s Celebration of Life – Friday, May 1, 2015 /5-9 p.m. The Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd Hayward CA.Monday @ 10:00 a.m. his ashes will be placed to rest in a niche at The Chapel of the Chimes in the fountain of freedom located off the main parking lot.
