Amalia Lopez, age 79 passed on Wednesday January 8, 2020 in Thousand Oaks, California. She was surrounded by her daughter, Sandy Suarez and son-in law, Andy Suarez as the lord welcomed her into his Kingdom. She was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and grew up on Rancho Viejo, the family ranch. She was blessed with 6 sisters; Consuelo, Rosario, Jesus, Eligia, Irma and Angelina and 2 brothers; Gumersindo and Trinidad.
At 18 years of age she immigrated to Northern California to live with her aunt and uncle Jesus and Jose Uriarte and eventually moved in with her sister and brother-in law Consuelo and Manuel Perez. She ultimately met her husband Ernesto Lopez, an immigrant from Jalisco, Mexico. She and Ernesto fell in love and married after 6 months of dating. They were at each other’s side for over 40 years. She is survived by her son, E. David Lopez, daughter-in law Martha Campos Lopez, her daughter Sandra Suarez, son-in law Andy Suarez, and her 6 grandsons; Alex Suarez (wife Sarah), Steven Suarez, Jonathan Suarez, Andrew Suarez, Brandon Lopez and Nicholas Lopez.
