Alma Phillips' Obituary
It is with profound sadness and immense gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Alma Phillips, our beloved matriarch, who peacefully passed away on September 15, 2024, at the remarkable age of 106. Born on September 13, 1918, Alma was a beacon of love, wisdom, and resilience throughout her long and impactful life.
She was the devoted wife of the late Edward Phillips, with whom she shared a long and loving marriage. Together, they raised two daughters, Sharon Moore and the late Diane Morales, who were the lights of her life.
Her legacy lives on through her three grandchildren: Randy Moore and his wife Sheryl , Chris Solven and his wife Angelita, and Debra Bristol and her husband Stephen Boski. She was also blessed with Five great-grandchildren: (Sean Moore, Shannon Moore, Michael Jiminez, Trevor Moore, and Edward Solven), and two great-great-grandchildren, (Zoe Moore and Matthew Moore). Additionally, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her kindness and love.
Known for her caring and unselfish ways, Alma lived her life in service to others, always putting the needs of family and friends above her own. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where anyone who visited was met with open arms and the unmistakable aroma of something delicious baking in the oven. She loved to bake and cook, always eager to prepare a meal or share a sweet treat with anyone who crossed her threshold. Her kitchen was a gathering place, where stories were told, laughter was shared, and memories were made.
A woman of remarkable strength, Alma lived through some of the most challenging periods in modern history, including the Great Depression and two World Wars. Her resilience and determination were a source of admiration to all who knew her. Despite the hardships she faced, she always remained a pillar of love and support for her family.
Her family gatherings were legendary, filled with love, laughter, and the comforting presence of a woman whose nurturing spirit touched everyone in her life. She instilled in her loved ones a deep sense of generosity, kindness, gratitude, and unity, creating a bond that will endure for generations to come.
Though she is no longer with us, her loving legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, Alma Phillips. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to guide us.
