In Loving Memory of Allen Eugene MoriniOctober 5, 1930 ' May 12, 2009Resident of American Canyon, CA Allen was born October 5, 1930 in Framingham, MA. He entered into his eternal reward May 12, 2009 at American Canyon, CA.He was preceded in death in 2000 by his wife of 45 years Bertha Elizabeth (Beth) Morini and in 2007 by his fiancé and loving companion of 5 years, Helen Haselton. Allen graduated from Framingham HS, class of 1948. He served 23 years in the US Navy including tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. Following retirement in 1974 he served on the Board of the San Ramon Senior Center for many years assisting with Bingo, Pinochle, fundraisers, the food pantry, and ultimately helped to shape the expansion project recently completed in 2008.Until moving to live with his daughter in American Canyon in 2007 he was active at the Sunny Glen Retirement community in San Ramon where he leaves behind many wonderful friends.He is survived by his 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren:Kathy (Jim) Landre, of St. George, UT and children Peter (Becky) Landre, (children Jacob and Payton), Jay Landre (daughter Ashley).Allen (Donna) Morini of Benicia, CA and children Allison and Erin.Cindy (Greg) Thomas of American Canyon, CA and children Kristine (Travis) Austin (daughter Madison), Michael Thomas, and Christopher Thomas.Jim Morinio of Shelton, Washington and children Melissa, Nicholas and Vincent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the San Ramon Senior Center, 9300 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583.A graveside service will be conducted at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544 on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 2:15 p.m. Viewing will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Chapel of the Chimes(510) 471-3363
