Allan Gabriel, also known as Rodolfo Credo Francisco passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the age of 81 at Winsor Post Acute Care Center of Hayward, in Hayward California.
Allan Gabriel was born on April 25, 1940 in Cebu City, Philippines to the late Eutiquio and Mercedes Francisco. Allan was blessed to be born in a large and loving family, he was the oldest of 7 kids and helped raised his siblings. He was a very responsible person, always reliable and often his parents would look to him to take care of house chores and his siblings but still managed to do his schoolwork. He earned his bachelor’s degree in ecommerce at University of Manila, Philippines. He then went on to work at the Bureau of Forestry in Manila as an accountant, he was there for many years until he migrated to the United States.
Allan migrated to the Unites States in California around 1976, he eventually settled in San Francisco and worked for the City and County of San Francisco as accountant for 10 years. He made many friends; he was a joyous person to be around. Loved to joke around and always smiling and laughing. He loved to cook and often on weekends he liked to explore the city and neighboring places with his loved ones. Quality time is very important to him even as kid, he was always the person that plans weekend outings with his friends and family.
In December of 1997, Allen had a stroke that impaired some of his physical function. He was unable to speak and write clearly. He was unable to walk and had to be in a wheelchair, he went under an aggressive rehabilitation to regain physical function but due to the severity of his stroke he lived the rest of his life needing a lot of assistant and care from others. Even with this set back, he remained thankful to be alive. He was still cheerful, thoughtful, and patient. He still put others first before his needs, he had a big heart and so much love for his family.
Although Allan never married and had kids of his own, he was content and delighted to be surrounded by all his nieces and nephews. He treated them like his own and often gave support, even financially to some who wanted to pursue their education. He never played favorites and treated everyone equally.
Allan will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a very loving, caring, exuberant person. His generosity and humility are the qualities they admire and aspire to be. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his brothers, Virgilio Francisco, Cesar Francisco, Nelson Francisco, and his sisters, Nelia Manuel and Minerva Castillo. He is preceded by death by his brother Mario Francisco and his parents.
