Alice Agnes Severson's Obituary
Alice Severson, age 94 years passed away at the Eden Medical Center in Oakland, California on Jan. 5, 2012 of complications from pneumonia. Alice was born on March 27, 1918 in Perham, Minnesota to her parents Frank and Dorothy (Hulick) Mackenroth. She met her husband to be Oliver 'Ollie' Severson in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. They were married on January 20, 1936 and soon after moved to California where they spent their remaining years together until Ollie passed away in 1979. Alice worked many years for the Sunshine biscuit Co. in Oakland until her retirement. Alice was a vibrant, energetic person all her life. She especially enjoed long walks, working in her flower garden and traveling. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Dorothy (Hulick) Mackenroth, her brothers, Edward and George Mackenroth and her sister Trassia (Mackenroth) Noel of Minnesota. She is survived by her two children; Jack (Connie) Severson, Loretta (Baxter) Kiser, her grandchildren; David (Norma) Severson, Lori (Alan) Jacques, and great grandson Daniel Severson. She is also survived by her two half brothers, Lauris Krogstad of Minnesota and Edward Krogstad, and eleven nephews and nieces.
