Alfredo Angeles Ortega's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alfredo A. Ortega, who left us peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Born with a quiet strength and a gentle nature, Alfredo lived his life with purpose. He built a respected career in finance, a field in which his intelligence and work ethic allowed him to thrive. Yet, no accomplishment meant more to him than being a father. He was a great provider who ensured that all six of his children were able to pursue higher education. He believed that education was the key to success, and that belief—along with braveness, resilience, and perseverance—was instilled into each of us.
Alfredo is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lydia, his lifelong partner and by his children Liberty, Lilian, Lorena, Michelle, Antonio, and Bryan. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, an extended family and close friends who cared for him dearly.
Alfredo enjoyed traveling whether for work or pleasure and exploring places. A true movie enthusiast, he never missed a good film and was always ready for a visit to the theater—an enduring passion that brought him joy throughout his life. He also loved to cook for his family, finding joy and pride in preparing meals that brought everyone together.
Though soft-spoken and quiet, Alfredo possessed a sharp mind and a wise spirit. His words were few, but meaningful. He taught his children to respect, love, and empathize with people. His kindness and generosity was genuine.
His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the quiet love he gave and the lives he touched with his gentle presence. While our hearts are heavy, we are comforted in knowing that his spirit and wisdom will continue to guide us.
We will miss him dearly, but we will carry him with us always.
