Alfredo De La Rosa Garcia's Obituary
August 28th 1923 – March 8th 2019Our beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 95. He was born in Tampico Mexico on August 28th 1923. He then traveled to California in 1942 at the age of 19 where he landed a position as a Railroad worker in the little town of Niles during the war. After the war ended, he was then recruited by a representative to come and work for the Hunts Cannery in Hayward CA where he retired after 45 years of service. This is where he met the love of his life Annie Mesa who became his wife of 60 years.He was an avid San Francisco Giants fan who seldom missed any games and enjoyed watching the Giants win six pennants and three World Series championships.He was a very talented man who had a passion for working on houses and helping others with various projects and tasks. Always willing to help a family member or friend in a time of need. He will be greatly missed by us all. He is survived by four children: Alfred Garcia, Anna Garcia Velasco, Ernie Garcia, Melissa Garcia Rodrigues and the late David Garcia and Robert Garcia and many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren and Great-Great grandchildren.
