Alexander Joseph Lopez Jr., 70, was unexpectedly taken from us on Wednesday March 5, 2025, peacefully in his sleep.
Alexander was born August 4, 1954, in Williams, AZ. His family moved to East Los Angeles before moving to Hayward when he was 12 years old. Alex married Ritela Zendejas on June 30, 1973, and they had three daughters. He is survived by his daughters Dionisia Inocencio, Alexandria Lopez, and Adrieanna Lopez, 17 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Three brother’s, Michael Lopez, Martin Lopez, and Frank Lopez; four sisters, Rosemary Martinez, Virginia Lopez, Alicia Gibson, Patricia Hindman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. He spent the remaining years of his life with his partner Vikki Romero.
Alexander was preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Dolores Lopez, brother Richard Lopez, and sister Christina Corrales.
Alexander was well loved by his large and extended family. He could always be counted on for a joke and a smile. Alexander was funny, outgoing, and caring. He loved spending time with family, listening to music, and helping those in need. Alexander always had a positive outlook on life, and you could often find him encouraging others; family, friends, and strangers. He would give you the last dollar in his pocket if needed. Alexander had a strong presence, smile that could light up a room, and a great laugh. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his world, and he always put them first. However, Alexander's love extended far beyond just his immediate family.
