ALEJANDRO MURO-FUENTES's Obituary
Alejandro was born Oct 1,1991, in Montebello, CA. Sadly he passed away only 10 days before his 23rd birthday, on Sep 21, 2014. He is survived my his mother Yvonne Muro, father Ovidio Fuentes and younger sister Elena Muro-Fuentes. He was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma after an emergency surgery on Dec 24, 2013 to have a mass removed from his left lung. Unfortunately, another tumor recurred rapidly and unexpectedly. He was a very kind and loving young man. He loved his family and felt everyone deserved to be treated with kindness and respect.Alejandro attended Evergreen College and was planning on finishing his Bachelor’s degree just before he fell ill at the end of last year. He had hoped on becoming a journalist. He had a strong passion for history and politics. He was extremely patriotic and very proud to be an American. He wanted to report on the current events in the Middle East, so he had planned to start learning Arabic. However, after his surgery he felt he could not pursue that dream and felt he may do better working here at home in the medical field. Which would suit him well, as he was a genuinely caring, giving and respectful young man. While recovering from radiation therapy, he completed an occupational therapist aide program. During the past two months he was working his first job, part-time as a medical assistant with his mother, which he enjoyed immensely. He was still tired and weak, but he always looked forward to going to work.He was also an avid video game player. He enjoyed playing for hours on Xbox with his online buddies, some he knew for many years. As he began working more, he was becoming more out-going and was making social plans with his co-workers. In the short time he knew them, his co-workers already felt like family. He greatest passion, however, was for his religion. He was very faithful Christian for a man of his age. Before moving to San Jose 10 years ago, he attended Foothill Christian Elementary in Glendora. In San Jose, he attended Liberty Baptist School and graduated from Andrew Hill High in 2009. He had a good solid biblical education and wanted to live his life according to the Scriptures. He felt God had given him a second chance after his surgery. He adamantly refused chemotherapy, as he preferred quality of life to quantity. He was a very courageous young man. He would always say he was at peace with his decision. He had no doubt that he was going to be with his true Father. He seemed to teach all those who met him, even those much older, something about the meaning of life and what it means to have true faith in God.He will greatly missed by all those who had to pleasure and honor to know such an exceptional and enlightened young man. Services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes at 32992 Mission Blvd in Hayward. Visitation and Rosary Friday, Oct 3 at 5:30-9pm and Mass Saturday Oct 4 at 10am.
