Alda Santos' Obituary
ALDA SANTOS, 73 passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward, California. She was born to Jose Baptista and to Maria C. Nobrega on June 23, 1929 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She has been a resident of Union City, California for 28 years and prior of Newark, California for 8 years. She has been a resident of Alameda County a total of 55 years. She was very passionate about her love for the Lord and people. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for 39 years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher at Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She was a very giving, generous and kind-hearted person, who touched everyone she knew. She prayed for everyone all of the time.Alda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving children; Gabriel Gonsalves of Bethel Island, California, Sue Garcia of Union City, California, Cynthia Lumbard of Morgan Hill, California, Theresa Zawalski of Otter Rock, Oregon, Tina Geyer of Morgan Hill, California and Rebecca & Matthew Lester of Union City, California. She is also survived by a dear brother and sister-in-law; Joseph & Cecilia Nobrega of San Lorenzo, California. She was a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and she also had 9 precious great-grandchildren.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, August 5, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at Redwood Chapel; 19300 Redwood Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546.
