Albert Schon's Obituary
Albert was born on June 16, 1928 in Mercer, ND to William and Katherine (Fiesel) Schon. He grew up on a farm in Mercer, ND until he moved to California at the young age of 17.. Albert married Marjorie Shinn on September 10,1950. He joined the Army in 1950 where he served in Korea as a Sergeant for 2 years and received the purple heart. After his discharge he returned to California where he and Marjorie raised Gail and Daniel. After 35 years of marriage Marjorie passed away in 1985. In 1992 Albert reconnected with an old school friend Alvina Hagen, they were married for 6 years when Alvina passed away.
Albert made his living working for Collegate – Palmolive and then Lone Star where he retired from truck driving.
After retirement Albert enjoyed spending time with his 6 grandkids and traveling the country to see family. He was always willing and ready to help out his kids and grandkids.
Albert’s loving family includes: daughter Gail (James,) Malone, Newark, CA and son Daniel (Joni) Schon, Colleyville, TX; 6 grandchildren Beth (Robby) Wyan, Hayward, Ca, Amy (Jerrad) Castro, Pine Grove, CA, Matthew (Tiffany) Malone, Highlands Ranch, CO, Joshua Schon, Colleyville, TX, Zachary (Rachel) Schon, North Richland Hills, TX, Jordan Schon, Colleyville, TX; 6 Great Grandchildren Madalyn, Jeremy, and Jamie Jo Castro, Pine Grove, CA; Landon and Norah Malone, Highlands Ranch, Co and Goldie Schon, North Richlands Hills, TX, Sisters Anna Fetzer and Ardell Schon of Biscmarck, ND
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Marjorie Schon and Alvina Schon, sisters Frieda Spelevoy, Ida Lick, Elsie Pieroni, brothers Benny Schon, Joe Schon, Harry Schon, Walter Schon, John Schon and William Schon
