Albert Mapa SabanalJune 1st, 1928 – January 20, 2019Albert was born in 1928 in Watertown, Oahu, Hawaii and passed away peacefully at home with his family by his bedside. He served in the US Army from January 9, 1946 to January 29th, 1949. He met the love of his life Violet in 1950 and they were married in 1951. They raised a family of 4 girls and 2 boys. He was also loved and known by many neighborhood kids as Papa. He loved spending time with family, going fishing, family get togethers and going for long country rides in search of fruit stands. He also loved going to casinos and playing High 5 Casino on his computer. He loved watching the National Geographics station and searching for Bigfoot shows as well as Western stations. He was an avid Raiders fan and Oakland A’s fan.He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Violet and his grandson Brian Sabanal in 2002. Albert is survived by his six children – Debra Mazzuca (Mike), Jeanette Hidalgo (Vincent), Michael Sabanal (Trish), John Sabanal (Eliane), Suzanne Sabanal and Sandra Sabanal, 10 Grandchildren – Noe Romero, Rikki Romero, Gavin Romero, Kristine Khomari, Carrie Truelove, Heather Bradley, Alan Stilwell, Angela Sabanal, Philip Sabanal, Samantha Sabanal and 11 great grandchildren and the family pet dog Kilo.He will be forever loved and deeply missed.Services Sunday February 3rd, 2019 11 am atChapel of the ChimesMission Chapel32992 Mission BlvdHayward, CA 94544
