Albert Reno Rosellini's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that Chapel of the Chimes announces the passing of Albert (Al) Reno Rosellini, born on August 26, 1932, to Sestilio and Guiseppina Rosellini. On April 15, 2024, Al quietly slipped away surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his children Steve Rosellini, Craig Rosellini, and Lauri McFadden, his partner Diane Dekker, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Al was full of life and laughter and the grass didn't grow under his feet! He loved to bowl and play softball and traveled extensively to follow these passions.
In his early years with his wife, Polly Rosellini, he supported his family by working as a Supply Chief in the Air National Guard. At his retirement he was honored as Colonel Rosellini. Polly and Al were often spotted on the dance floor as they were award-winning ballroom dancers dating back to high school. The kids learned to dance standing on their parents' feet.
When not found at the various Air Force Bases, Al taught his kids how to be competitive in sports and coached, traveled, and rooted them on as a result. He managed to find time to umpire little league and make it to his bowling leagues and softball games as well.
In the years after Polly passed away, Al was fortunate to meet Diane Dekker and they spent many happy years traveling all over the world. The last few trips they took were to Hawai'i, Italy, and the Panama Canal. They also continued bowling and traveling for softball.
It was a combination of Alzheimer's and cancer that finally took Al, but he leaves so many cherished memories that he may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
