Cindy
I met Al at a PWP dance, many many years ago. He had on a long sleeved blue shirt that matched the color of his eyes , I have always remembered that!
We dated for awhile but it is the friendship that endured for over 35 years.
we traveled to the Grand Canyon, Zion National park and had fun in Las Vegas!
I will always remember the man loved Chinese Food, his best friend was Chuck (rip)
and sadly his son Al went to heaven years ago, he took it inside as he did most everything, we had many conversations about God and he was mainly on the fence about that. NOW he knows the truth!
He worked at Reddy Mix, in Union City when we met, and told me many stories of that time. The last time I went to Chapel of the Chimes was for his mothers services!
He was always looking for a place to settle in, Arizona, Cresent City was where he wanted me to go live with him. He just could not ever decide, so in Union City he remained!
I love Albert Dunham, I called him Bert! Our relationship was about being good friends and the memory of him I will always remember is the fun and laughter that we shared!
I am so sorry to his family for their loss, to his daughter Doreen, granddaughter Amber thank you so much for letting me know! We had not spoken for about 4 months, I sure missed him!
I live in Sonora CA, so I will probably not make the services! I had not seen Al in a number of years, that is why those telephone calls each week were so important!
I had a nail in the fence in the apartment that I lived in in San Leandro, now and again, for Valentines Day, birthdays etc, Al would put a gift for me in a plastic grocery bag and hang it on that nail! Then he would call me when he got home and let me know it was there! LOL that man cracked me up!
RIP Bert, my hear is aching, know that you did make a difference in my life!
Love Ya, as you would tell me...........Cindy Graybeal
