Alan Price's Obituary
Alan Leigh Price June 14, 1953-October 22, 2006 Alan Price was one in a million. He was a loving and devoted husband to Connie Price for 25 years. Very proud and caring father to daughter, Sally Price of Hayward, and son Jeff Price, and his wife Veronica and unborn grandchild of Fremont. Much loved sister, Arlene Osburnsen and husband Jerry of Virginia, brother Trent Price of Florida, and Aunts Berta and Yua Arosemena of Panama. Also, Pat Bezayiff and husband Dennis of Hayward and many special nieces and nephews, Father-in-law Bill Bloyd and recently deceased mother-in-law Iva Bloyd of Hayward. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Nivia Price and his sisters, Catherine Gallagher and Kininy Watkins.During the Vietnam War, Alan served as a boiler tech for the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. He was honorably discharged.Camping, fishing and sitting around a campfire were his favorite get-a-away; and reading and art sketching a common pastime. He was probably heard around the neighborhood singing his impersonation of PAVAROTTI adding his own personal touch.Alan was a real man of prayer and integrity and based his life on the Word of God. He was member of the Hayward Foursquare Gospel church, 'New Hope Christian Fellowship' for over 20 years. He was a behind the scene kind of guy and didn't like attention drawn to him.He worked for N.U.M.M.I. for over 22 years and was an electrician by trade.From 1998 to the present, Alan's life changed due to a work-related back injury that left him disabled.Alan entered into God's presence on Sunday morning 10/22 and is no longer in pain.Funeral service will be held Friday, October 27th at 10:30am at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
