Alan Krueger's Obituary
Alan David Krueger Sept 3, 1962- June 18, 2014Born in Madison, WI. A graduate of Albany High School, Alan received his BS in Math & Statistics and an MS in Mathematical Statistics from Cal State Hayward. He worked in the actuarial and retirement consulting industry for over 17 years. He was a partner in the firm of Cothran & Johnson Accountancy Corp of Walnut Creek.He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice, son, Erich and parents, Arvin and Alice, brother, Douglas (Zina), and sister, Terri (Richard) Dean and in-laws, Richard and Irene, sister-in law, Sandra (Glenn) and brother-in-law, Tom (Nancy) . Also survived by nephews, Joshua, Matthew, Michael & Jamie and nieces, Samantha and Kimberly. He is also survived by many other relatives, friends and co-workers.Alan enjoyed playing volleyball, loved the outdoors and was an avid sports fan and history buff. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 6th from 10am to 1pm in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard in Hayward.Funeral Services will be held the following day, Monday July 7th at 1:00pm in the same location.A private service for Alan’s final commital to the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park will be attended by family only.If you would like to honor Alan’s memory with a charitable donation, the family wishes to support UCSF Pediatrics Oncology Fund.Here are the steps to make a donation to the UCSF Pediatrics Oncology Fund:– Please state in your letter that your donation is “In memory of Alan Krueger” – Checks should be made payable to “The Regents of University of California” – On the physical check MEMO line, please state/designate the donation to go to: “UCSF Pediatric Oncology Research Fund”– Please mail your check and donation designation to the following address: Liza Peterson Loh Laboratory 513 Parnassus Avenue Box 0519 San Francisco, CA 94143-0519Thank you for the support.
