Dear Family,Alan was a good man “Shen Tov” and always had kind words for others. He had an uncanny ability to speak from his heart that he wore on his sleeve. He was considerate of others; along with building long lasting relationships that touched many of us from his personal side was his way of being. When he walked into a room or generated a conversation with his soft gentle voice, it created a sense of calmness and put others at ease. Yes, others listened intensely as they knew what he said was powerful, truthful, no nonsense and was spoken with integrity.Alan and I had known each other for some 35+ years working in the fabric and decorating business. In the earlier years Alan was a great role model and very supportive in mentoring me within the business along with his wonderful skills, selling techniques and abilities of being a great listener. His wisdom and knowledge created opportunities for many including him, as he had a thriving business and was always there to be supportive of others. Having the pleasure of visiting Alan and Judy together with our good friend Richard Kirwin about a year ago was a highlight for both Richard and me. We laughed, talked and spoke about our families as he was a devoted, husband and parent. He also shared his sense of pride, along with his passion and work on the Revitalization of Niles Park Project with us and giving back to the community which ment a lot to him. Alan was a very proud person. Even though we didn’t speak on a regular basis, I had a connection and personal bond with him through the strong relationships that were build from our mutual friends over time.He was an extraordinary individual that had an uncanny ability to bring others together through his magical ways and wonderful sense of humor. He has moved, touched and inspired all of us in some way and his spirit continues to live on forever. Gary Rudolph##imported-begin##Gary Rudolph##imported-end##
