Agnes Ferreira's Obituary
Agnes Ferreira was born on May 1st, 1919 in Hilo, Hawaii to Albert and Gloria Pavao.Agnes moved to the states at 6 years old. While growing up in Oakland, this is where she met her only one true love, James Ferreira. James and Agnes married on November 16, 1935. From this beautiful love they shared, Agnes had two sons, Anthony Ferreira and Albert Ferreira.Agnes and James moved to Hayward in the 1940s where she worked as a crossing guard for the Hayward Unified School District and Hunts Cannery for many years. When Agnes retired, she enjoyed doing many things. Agnes travelled to Reno many times on her overnight trips. Agnes was a giving person and her winnings helped out a lot of people. Agnes also enjoyed crocheting and made countless afghans for many people.Unfortunately, in December 2014, Agnes became ill and was unable to return to her own home. She was cared for by a loving care facility until she got her official angel wings on April 17, 2017.Agnes was preceded in death by her sweetheart husband, James Ferreira and loving son, Anthony Ferreira. Agnes is survived by her son, Albert Ferreira, grandchildren Tammy Rodrigues and Anjel Mendoza, and great-grandchildren Andrew Rodrigues, Jason Rodrigues, Nakista Rodrigues and Micah Rodrigues. Loving sister to George Pavao (deceased) and Beatrice Sierra. Agnes also has numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
