Adetokunbo Kareem Amole's Obituary
Adetokunbo Kareem Amole was born on April 2, 1956 in London, England to the parents of Mr. Ayodele Amole and Mrs. Abibatu Amole. Kareem returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom with his parents in 1964.He attended Odo-Abore Primary School Mushin, Lagos. He further continued his education at City College Yaba, where he graduated and sat for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in 1977.His work history began with Dunlop Nigeria PLC, in Ikeja. He later moved on to Nigeria Airways, where he worked until 1982. This is when Adetokunbo Kareem Amole decided to move to the United States of America.After a brief stay and schooling in New York City, he relocated to Oakland, California to join his brother, Ayodele Idowu in 1985. Kareem met and married Kim Amole in 1986. Although they eventually divorced, they were married for over 20 years, and remained best friends until his passing.Kareem attended Laney College in Oakland, CA, California State University, Hayward, and graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts.Art was his passion. He taught Graphic Arts and worked for various companies as both employee and consultant. His final employer was Heat and Control in Hayward, CA. He was employed by Heat and Control for over 10 years. Kareem loved Heat and Control and considered them his work family. When he became ill, they allowed him to work from home to accommodate his illness. Heat and Control has been, and continues to be, a great blessing to Kareem. Many members of his work family continued to visit, celebrate holidays, birthdays and Christmases’ with him. They often delivered many meals and gifts over the years.Kareem accepted Christ as his personal savior in 2011. He truly recognized that God was lord and savior of his life. Even through the many trials and tribulations during his illness, he continued to trust God for strength and direction.Adetokunbo Kareem Amole was preceded in death by his parents, his big brother, Segun Amole and his kid sister, Yetunde Omotayo. He leaves to mourn, his brother and wife, Ayodele Idowu and Glenna Carraway-Idowu; nephews – Tyler Idowu and Justin Idowu, his best friend of many years, Kim Amole; his beloved nieces in Nigeria – Omokehinde Omoshalewa Amole, Kofoworola Idowu Amole and her husband – David Darasimi Afolabi and Alaba Olasoebikan Amole; In London, his nephews Tundu Omotayo, Ayo Omotayo, Yomi Omotayo, Bimbo Omotayo and great nephew, Ishak Afolabi. He also leaves to mourn, his many friends and relatives.May His Soul Rest in Peace.
