Generoso A. Alejo's Obituary
Our beloved father, papa, will be terribly missed. He was a very supportive husband, and a loving father, son, brother, friend, uncle, golfer and a mentor to many. He was a retired Colonel in the Philippine Constabulary, his last post was as the Camp Commander at Camp Crame. During his tenure he served under four Philippine presidents. After his military life, he turned to golf, his second passion as the General Manager of Manila Golf and Country Club and at Celebrity Sports Plaza. Our memories of papa will always be marked with love and laughter. Growing up we did not want to disappoint him as he always gave us everything – his support, his advice, his love. His family meant everything to him. He was the “papa” to our friends and cousins. Our house was where we all congregated. They called him papa and most of them felt he truly was like their father. He loved, mentored and counseled all just like his own children. He taught us to always be honest in our dealings, to do the best in all we do, to be helpful to all, to treat everyone with love and respect – no matter who they are. He was a man of faith and together with our mother, taught us to pray the rosary everyday, hear mass on Sundays and be God fearing. He was married to the late Herminia Alejo for 65 years until her passing in October 2016 and is survived by his three children Min and partner Bing, Nini married to Bert and Chito married to Vickee, grandchildren Kokoy, Cheska, Vanessa and Bernardt and his great grandchild Kaileia, his brother Ramon and sister Anita. We love you papa and will miss you. You and mama will always have a special place in the hearts your children.
