My mom was very much an advocate for the rights of all people. She was strong and courages often lending herself to civil rights work. In these horrific times of civil unrest and in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I miss her reassuring voice and her wisdom. I know if there is anyway for her to help and protect us through these times, she is doing that because that is the essence of her being. We miss you Rosi.

JoAnn was my partner in “crime” at MiraCosta. She made working long hours fun. Her sincere desire to make our system work for under represented low income students encouraged me to fight the good battle of access. JoAnn’s wonderful sense of humor and love of life clearly touched us all. She will be dearly missed but I know wherever she has gone she will continue her fun loving mischievous ways. I am fortunate to always carry lasting memories of JoAnna-danna that will always bring a silly grin to my face. TC
