I had the honor of knowing my great Uncle Ruben from San Francisco. He was my grandmothers brother that loved his Denver Family so much! He always made it a point to come visit my mom Gina and her family. I will cherish the beautiful memories we all shared with him and he will be truly missed. I love you Uncle! My grandpa has always lived a long distance from me,so the only time I spent with my Grandpa was when he came to Denver. As I got older and he became older those visits became fewer till there were no more. But no matter what I always loved my Grandpa very much and he will Forever be in my Heart. Love You Grandpa. My uncle Ruben was like a father to me since I lost my dad in 1987. We spent many enjoyable rounds of golf where we could reminisce and get caught up on where life had taken us since our last time together. I could always go to him for advice on any problem that I would encounter. We would always laugh and share family stories when we would gather together as a family when he would come to town. One of the stories that was always a favorite to bring up was which one of his nieces was his favorite! All of his nieces would insist they were his favorite! It was always a given that everyone would gather together at someone’s house to be together as a family when he would want to see everyone together, of course everyone wanted to be together to share the love that we all had to be in that joyous space in time as one loving family.
