Tribute for Primitiva Bondoc Primitiva B. Bondoc (1933 - 2021) | Primitiva “Perla” Bonus Bondoc (aka “Ima”), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Perla was born in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines on December 27, 1933. She married her husband, Benedicto Bondoc in Angeles City in 1954 after a brief courtship. It was a classic case of love at first sight. The couple established their home in Angeles City with Perla as a full-time housewife and mother of six children. Perla was a generous, kind-hearted, warm and God-fearing individual. Their home was always open to everyone, and there was never a time when a relative or a friend did not feel welcome when visiting. Perla’s generosity not only showed in her sharing with neighbors but also in her support of her relatives and her husband’s siblings. In 1988, Perla and Ben, with their youngest son, emigrated to the United States. They were followed a short time later by three of their children. Formerly a full-time housewife and stay-at-home mom in the Philippines, Perla was very proud of her job accomplishments in the US. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband as her dance instructor and partner. Perla was fervent in her Catholic faith, and expressed her gratitude and gratefulness to the Lord not only through her actions but through daily prayers, rosaries, and holy mass. Perla touched a lot of lives wherever she lived, and was loved by everyone blessed and fortunate enough to have met her. Perla is preceded in death by her husband, Ben, and survived by her sister Rosita, her children and their spouses, Joe and Edith, Teody, Carol, Rey and Emily, Julie and Clifford, Bernard and Debbie; ten grandchildren, Joyce, Jen, Joseph, Terrence, Troy , Kristoffer, Kristia, Kayla, Alexis, and Carissa; and four great-grandchildren, Adrian, Aaron, Alexine, and Khristine. A viewing and the praying of the rosary, will be held at The Chapel of the Chimes on Sunday, January 24th, 2021. A Celebration of Life, funeral mass, and interment will follow on Monday, January 25th, 2021. NOTE: The Celebration of Life and funeral service will be live-streamed for relatives and friends who would like to join us remotely. We also wish to especially thank our brother and his wife, Bernard and Debbie, for caring for our Ima, as well as the medical teams at Sutter Delta Medical Hospital and California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) for their compassionate, caring, and professional help during Ima’s final days.
