Obituary Irene Frances Rodriguez December 19, 1942 – September 2, 2020 Irene entered into the kingdom of our Lord, guided by the hand of her “Tiny Angel” to the open arms of our heavenly father and all of the angels on Wednesday September 2, 2020. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. Irene was the youngest child of Ermond and Dorothy Kenyon. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she grew up fishing with a cane pole, swimming in ponds, boating and has even been known to kiss a toad or two. She spent part of her childhood as a country girl until they relocated to California. They lived in Oakland, California until they had a house built in Fremont, California. She graduated from Washington High School. A few years later married Jessie Rodriguez. Irene and Jessie had four children together, Timothy, Anthony, Tina and Teresa. In 1983, Irene lost Jessie to cancer. She singlehandedly managed to raise and provide for all of her children. Being a house mom for most of her children’s childhood, she now needed to look for work. She took a job at Golfland as an assistant manager for 13 years. Irene was survived by her partner, 4 Children, 3 Children-in-law, 7 Grandchildren, 2 Grand Children in-law, 2 Great Grandchildren and 3 want-a-be Children. Felipe Saucedo of California, Timothy Rodriguez of California, Anthony and Sherri Rodriguez of Colorado, Tina and Timothy Rogers of Texas, Teresa and Darwin Pastor of California, Anthony, Tricia, Sophia and Leinani Rodriguez of Colorado, Meleana Rodriguez and Caleb Radish of Colorado, Timothy Jr., Kristina and Kaliyah Rogers of Texas, Dominique and Trista Pastor of California, Sheila LaFrom of California, Mark Fordham of California and Ed Patron of California. Irene was also known as Mom, Mommy, Old Goat, Mrs. R, Mama R, Granny, Go-Go Granny, Red Granny, Shopkins Granny and Giraffe Granny. Over the years, she has enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, music, movies, reading, wordsearches, fill-ins, crocheting, family reunions, riding mopeds, working on the Family Tree (including tromping around cemeteries), playing games, and Walmart. She has touched so many hearts and impacted so many lives in a positive way. She will truly be missed by so many loved ones. Family, Friends, Waitresses, Amazon Drivers, even the CEO of Walmart.
